The name Virginia Zeani needs no special introduction in the world of opera, especially for the lovers of the mid 20th century Golden Age of Opera. The story of her monumental operatic career, her unique and rapturous voice, her vast range of repertoire, and her stunning beauty is the “stuff of legends,” especially amongst hardcore opera fans!

These “worshippers of opera” have existed since the birth of opera in 16th century Italy and now are in every part of the world…and growing. They only receive and spiritual sustenance from opera… they live for this art. It is as if they have some type of added ultra-human dimension… a 6th emotional and spiritual sense that only finds total artistic satisfaction in the all-encompassing beauty and extreme emotional spectrum of the world of opera.

Considering that Virginia Zeani made so few studio recordings, it is poetic justice that the same technology that prevented her Super Star Celebrity in her hey-day, thanks to her fans, her cult, if you will, has actually immortalized her reputation forever as one of the greatest singing actresses of the 20th century!

We honor not only the divine voice and artistry of Virginia Zeani, the many Zeani-worshippers who happily followed the Diva around the world, who stood in lines for hours and days for tickets, who filled the standing room areas night after night, and followed her through busy city streets hoping for just a glance of the Goddess!

We salute the Cult of the Diva for faithfully guarding the memory of the divine and making it possible for today’s generation and generations to come, to know and worship Virginia Zeani…Diva!
